On Saturday October 17th, Access Engineering held their second lesson of the semester. The lessons this week largely focused on mechanical engineering. Students began to learn how to use the SolidWorks CAD system in preparation for designing and fabricating catapults they will test two weeks after this lesson.
The electrical engineering section worked with Arduinos again this week to make an ultrasonic sensor circuit. Due to the complexity of the circuit, this is the second week they have worked on this product. Students were encouraged to make their own modifications to the base project presented in the class, and many students had time to play with the established circuit.
